LTN-120 Lightning Nipper

$72.55

The ultra-thin single-edged blade structure further enhances sharpness, allowing you to cut gates with less force than ever before!

Lightning Nippers are nippers specifically designed for cutting gates on plastic models.
When trying to slice through a small remaining gate, the blade smoothly cuts in, and the cut is almost silent.
Because they are so sharp, they produce a smooth cut surface similar to that of a craft knife, minimizing whitening of the plastic (the phenomenon where the cut surface turns white).
Because they leave a clean cut, they are also recommended for those who want to complete their plastic models without painting them.

Even when cutting without leaving a gate, the cutting traces are not gouged out even when the blade is aligned with the part, so gate processing with a file or knife is minimized, making it a useful tool for significantly reducing time.
Even when cutting out small parts, parts are less likely to fly off, eliminating the need to search for them.

●Cutting edge and single-edged structure designed for sharpness:
The thin, sharpened cutting edge and single-edged structure for cleaner cuts provide incredible sharpness!

- Ultra-thin blade made by skilled artisans.
The blades, which are as thin and sharp as a knife, are created by artisans in Tsubame-Sanjo, Niigata Prefecture, which is famous for its cutlery, who carefully sharpen and sharpen each blade.

- "Single-edged structure" for clean cutting A
"single-edged structure" is a structure in which one side of the blade is the "cutting edge" and the other side is the "chopping board blade." It is called a "single-edged" knife because there is only one cutting edge (cutting edge). A "single-edged structure" is used to obtain a clean cut surface.

⚠Caution
: These nippers are designed for sharpness and are delicate. Therefore, improper use may result in chipping, breaking, or warping. (※)
Slight distortions not visible to the naked eye may occur.
・Even light pressure is sufficient to cut, so do not grip the blade more tightly than necessary.
・The blade becomes thinner toward the tip, making it more susceptible to breakage. Therefore, cut as close to the center of the blade as possible.
・Do not twist the blade while cutting or when removing it from the runner after cutting. Twisting will put stress on the blade and cause it to break.
・Do not cut objects that do not fit within the length of the blade. This will cause stress to be applied to a single point along the blade, causing it to break or bend.
Do not use to cut plastic that is too thick for its cutting capacity or materials that are not designed for this
purpose (metal, resin, paper, etc.). Do not use for cutting plastic sheets, tags, parts, or dowels
. Remove any chips from the blade with a toothbrush or other tool during and after use.
Cutting with chips remaining on the blade will put unnecessary stress on it and cause damage.
Using the blade with chips trapped at the base of the blade can cause the moving parts to wobble
. Do not touch the cutting edge directly. The cutting edge is sharp and may cause
injury. Skin oils can cause rust. If you touch the metal parts directly, wipe away fingerprints and apply anti-rust oil.
Humidity can also cause rust, so apply oil frequently, even during the rainy season.
A decrease in the lubrication of the moving parts can cause wear on the shaft, leading to wobble and a loss of sharpness.
 Regularly lubricate moving parts.
・For safety, wear safety glasses when using the tool
.・Cutting materials may fly off. Make sure there are no people or breakable objects around before starting work.
・Keep out of reach of small children.
・When not in use, please take safety precautions by attaching the included nipper caps.
